D

eputy Governor Sandiaga Uno reminded Jakartans who have left their homes during the Idul Fitri holiday to take precautions, because "even in my guarded house, a handphone was stolen".

“I want to use this opportunity to remind and ensure [Jakartans are] alert.” Sandiaga said as quoted by tempo.co on Thursday.

The theft took place while the house was guarded by two special security officers, said Sandiaga, adding that if the house of a deputy governor could be infiltrated, then ordinary residents must be extra cautious.

Sandiaga also said he was especially concerned because the theft took place at the end of Ramadhan. The burglary occurred at his home while he held an iftar (breaking-of-the-fast) event.

According to Sandiaga, a guest named Muhammad Nasih lost his iPhone 7 along with a SIM card from the back pocket of his trousers. Nasih was leading a prayer when his phone was allegedly stolen. (act)
