View all search resultshe Jakarta Police are set to require all drivers to undergo a psychological test to obtain, upgrade or renew driver’s licenses.
The requirement was made to comply with Law No. 22/2009 on traffic and a National Police chief regulation on driver’s licenses, Jakarta Traffic Police driver’s license section head Comr. Fahri Siregar said on Tuesday.
The test is currently only required for public transportation drivers.
Fahri said the policy would be implemented soon.
“The psychological test will be required for all driver’s license groupings,” Fahri said as quoted by kompas.com.
He added that prevailing regulations stated that all drivers should be mentally fit.
Mental fitness should be screened by the psychological test, Fahri added. (cal)
