ollowing her appearance in comedy drama Milly & Mamet, actress Julie Estelle will once again show her comedic side in Lagi-Lagi Ateng (Ateng Again).
Acting in comedy is a new experience for Julie, who has previously starred in drama, horror and action movies.
“It’s a coincidence that I am able to act in two comedy movies,” said Julie as quoted by tempo.co. “The character and the script are interesting even though I had to learn a lot before shooting,” she added.
Prior to the filming of Lagi-Lagi Ateng, Julie learned comedic acting from stand-up comedian Muhadkly Acho.
“I just realized how hard it is to make people laugh,” said Julie. “I was taught how to be funny and practiced some stand-up comedy techniques,” she added
Directed by Monty Tiwa, Lagi-Lagi Ateng was inspired by famous comedy duo in the 60s, Ateng and Iskak. The movie, starring Augie Fantinus as Ateng and Soleh Solihun as Iskak, will hit theaters on Jan. 10.
