T Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) will provide passengers with free takjil (breaking-of-the-fast snacks) from May 15 to 17 at 6 stations, namely Jakarta Kota, Gondangdia, Cikini, Sudirman and Tanah Abang.

“To enliven this year’s Ramadan, KCI will distribute free takjil at 6 stations alternately from May 15 to 17,” KCI spokesperson Anne Purba said on Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.

The takjil will be a packet of light snack and a beverage to break the passengers’ fast. The passengers are also allowed to eat or drink takjil on the train, from sunset or maghrib until one hour afterward.

On the other days, passengers are also allowed to break their fast on the train, but not with food that emanates strong smell. (vla)
