In honor of the fasting month of Ramadan, Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) in Cisarua, West Java has announced a slew of activities that are expected to entertain visitors as they await iftar (breaking of the fast).
TSI spokesperson Yulius Suprihardo said the park has launched a new safari program and bird show scheduled to take place in the hours leading up to iftar, in addition to religious activities such as a pre-iftar sermon (kultum) and Islamic pop music performances (qasidah).
Adventurous visitors may also choose to ride camels, ponies, or elephants and roam certain areas of the park in the hours before they break their fast.
For evening activities, TSI has announced it would open Safari Night for eight consecutive days, from June 1 to 8. Previously, the program was only available every Saturday night.
During Safari Night, visitors are able to roam the entire park on a tour train and see various wild animals up close for 45 minutes. (rfa)
