tate-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga will start adjusting fares for Soedijatmo toll road, better known as Soekarno-Hatta Airport toll road, starting midnight on Sunday.

The fare for passenger vehicles will increase, while the fare for trucks and other logistics vehicles will be lowered.

“We are extending the dissemination period before the fare adjustment on midnight on Sunday,” said Jasa Marga operational director Subakti Syukur during a press conference on Thursday as quoted by kontan.co.id.

He said the company had carried out service improvement, including the construction of seven more toll gates to fulfill the minimum standard service as required by the authority. Subakti said the company also planned to establish new top up facilities.

Fares for group I and II vehicles were adjusted from Rp 7,000 to Rp 7,500 and from Rp 8,500 to Rp 10,000, respectively.

The fare for trucks and other logistics vehicles was revised down, except for Group III vehicles, which did not see a fare change from Rp 10,000. Meanwhile, the fare for Group IV vehicles was decreased from Rp 12,500 to Rp 11,000 and Group V vehicle fares were decreased from Rp 15,000 to Rp 11,000.

Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono agreed to the rate increase through a ministerial decree issued last month, while the plan for the fare adjustment was announced in February.

Danang Parikesit of the Indonesia Toll Road Authority said on Tuesday that the enforcement of the fare hike had been delayed because relevant parties had to consider a number of factors, including the fact that the toll road was not only used by airplane passengers but for other economic activities.
