he public will enjoy free entrance to Ancol Dreamland Park in North Jakarta on Friday, a day before Jakarta celebrates its 492nd anniversary.
PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol deputy president director Teuku Sahir Syahali said free access applies to all gates for entering Ancol.
"On June 21 tickets for Ancol Dreamland Park will be free for visitors entering the park between 6 a.m and 6 p.m," Teuku said as quoted by kompas.com on Wednesday.
He clarified that while access for individuals entering the park will be free, parking fees will still be charged.
Motorcycles would be charged Rp 15,000 (US$1.05) and cars Rp 20,000 for parking.
"To be clear, the free access only applies to individuals entering the park and does not include parking or other fees for using recreational areas in Ancol," Teuku said. (tru)
