Five-meter python discovered in East Jakarta
A 5-meter snake has been caught in front of the Cipinang Jaya pawnshop in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Friday.

he East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency caught a 5-meter snake in front of the Cipinang Jaya pawnshop in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Friday.
Agency head Gatot Sulaiman said the snake was a reticulated python.
The reptile had allegedly come from the gutter in front of the pawnshop.
The agency sent five fire and rescue officers to the location after hearing reports from local residents of sightings of the snake at around 11:30 p.m.
The evacuation process lasted half an hour.
“One rescue unit was dispatched and completed the evacuation by 11:55 p.m.”
The python is currently being secured by the agency. (bry)
