The vice-presidential candidate wants to focus on helping small and medium enterprises.
nsuccessful vice-presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno said he wanted to take a break from politics to focus on developing his people's economy programs.
“I want to take a break [from politics],” Sandiaga said as quoted by Antara after attending a national working meeting of Muslim Women Entrepreneur of Indonesia (WPMI) at the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry building on Tuesday.
Sandiaga said he was focusing on the efforts to boost people’s economy through the One District One Center of Entrepreneurship (Oke Oce) and Rumah Siap Kerja (a facility to help millennials find jobs) programs.
The programs, Sandiaga added, will involve some 600 WPMI members across Indonesia.
Sandiaga said he wanted to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) improve by providing training for homemakers and giving them access to sell their products and services.
“Oke Oce and Rumah Siap Kerja will be focusing on creating trained manpower for employment,” he said. (asp)
