The SMUP committee will provide alternative tests scheduled between July 8 and 13 for those who did not make it to the prior test.
adjadjaran University’s (Unpad) independently administered entrance test committee (SMUP) in Bandung, West Java, postponed the mobile assisted test (MAT), the university's entrance test, on Saturday because of technical glitches.
Unpad communications office head Syauqy Lukman said the glitches meant 2,343 applicants over two sessions failed to complete the tests.
“Both MAT sessions will be redone on July 13 at the same time and place. We have yet to figure out what caused the glitches,” Syauqy told The Jakarta Post on Sunday.
“We are very sorry for causing such inconvenience for all those taking the test and their parents. We don’t want to make them upset,” Syauqy added.
The SMUP committee will provide alternative tests scheduled between July 8 and 13 for those who did not make it to the prior test.
“Unpad will provide reimbursement for transportation-related costs such as for tickets, gas and toll fees for the applicants,” he said.
For reimbursement, Syauqy said applicants could submit claims through the integrated service unit and email humas@unpad.ac.id with their registration number attached to the submission, Syauqy said, adding that the committee would ensure the MAT on July 7 would run on schedule.
