he Jakarta Council has launched an application called Council Aspiration and Information System (SIAP Dewan) aimed at facilitating reports from members of the public.
“The app aims to inform people on the activities of city councillors and also as serve as a channel to express their aspirations,” City Council secretary M. Yuliadi said on Saturday as reported by kompas.com.
No details were immediately provided on the budget to develop the app.
The apps home screen includes two option, namely information on councillors and the latest news on their activities and meetings. Users can also send messages, suggestions and questions to the City Council. They would need to include their full names, home addresses and ID card number before sending their messages.
Yulidi said the messages would be received by his office and then forwarded to the councillors based on their respective factions and commission.
