panish soccer league La Liga has established a partnership with nonprofit organization BOLA to raise awareness about the values of soccer and promote equality for marginalized children in Indonesia.

The values include work ethics and responsibility.

BOLA is a collaboration between Sahabat Anak, a nonprofit organization focusing on marginalized children, and the Kampus Diakoneia Modern (KDM) foundation.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two sides took place during the 2019 Children Futsal Jamboree in Jakarta on Saturday.

La Liga’s global network delegation for Indonesia, Rodrigo Gallego, signed the MoU along with Sotar Sinaga of the KDM foundation.

Social Affairs Ministry official Muhammad Abduh and Jakarta Youth and Sports agency head Ahmad Firdaus attended the signing ceremony.

The cooperation will include the organization of a soccer tournament for less fortunate children, a Football Jamboree conference, talent scouting for the EDF-La Liga academy, soccer scholarships and a coaching clinic.

Gallego said in a statement that La Liga upheld the value of diversity, which is also reflected in the league’s logo, which uses seven different colors to symbolize diversity, unity and inclusivity.

He said inclusivity meant that the league emphasized that soccer was for everyone. (rdi)
