New North Luwu council member takes three wives to inauguration ceremony

newly-installed North Luwu Regional Legislative Council (DPRD North Luwu) member, Andi Sukma, surprised inauguration ceremony attendees by taking his three wives to the event.
Andi, who is from the Hanura Party, was elected as a council member for the third time. He actually has four wives, namely Helmi, Dayati, Hermawati and Uswa Jamil. However, only three of them were able to make it to the ceremony because Helmi was out of town.
“I already told my wives to attend this ceremony. They even prepared special outfits for this occasion,” Andi told kompas.com.
“All of my wives are living in harmony, they never fight each other. I never play favorites either. As a representative of the public, I have to be able to make them [the public] live in harmony, not just my wives,” Andi said.
The father of 12 also explained that he took his two wives to a DPRD inauguration ceremony in 2009.
During this year’s DPRD North Luwu inauguration ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 35 legislative council members were chosen to represent North Luwu. (dpk)
