 Publicly listed telecommunication tower operator PT Sarana Menara Nusantara agreed to appoint a new director and commissioners during an extraordinary shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Monday.

Vice president-director Adam Gifari said following the shareholders meeting that former Bank Central Asia (BCA) deputy president director Eugene Keith Galbraith would be appointed to replace Anthony Elam as one of the company’s directors.

Former Bank Indonesia senior deputy governor, Mirza Adityaswara and former research and technology minister Kusmayanto Kadiman would be appointed as commissioners, replacing Honggo Widjojo Kangmasto.

 Adam said that the meeting decided to retain Ferdinandus Aming Santoso as president director, and Adam, Stephen Duffus Weiss, Kenny Harjo, Eko Santoso Hadiprodjo and Indra Gunawan as directors.  The meeting also retained Tonny Kusnadi as chief commissioner and Ario Wibisono as commissioner.

Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) under the code TOWR, Sarana Menara Nusantara shares lost nearly 2 percent on Tuesday to close at 740.  The price has gained about 12 percent from Rp 670 (5 US cents) at the beginning of this year.

The company announced on Dec. 6 that it would distribute interim dividends worth Rp 306 billion or Rp 6 per share to its shareholders. (mfp)
