A

heartwarming scene colored the men's doubles final of the Indonesia Masters 2020 on Sunday at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Central Jakarta, with a picture of the moment soon going viral.

Captured by Nafielah Mahmudah, a photographer of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI), the picture was shared on Instagram, showing the daughters of the battling shuttlers praying side by side, one in a Christian way, the other in an Islamic way. "Badminton unites us," @badminton.ina posted on Instagram.

The girls are Richelle Hillary Setiawan, daughter of Hendra Setiawan, and Maritza Chayra Ahsan, daughter of Mohammad Ahsan. Hendra and Ahsan, a pair known as the Daddies, battled it out in the final against their Indonesian counterparts Marcus Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya, who are known as the Minions.

However, despite the girls' prayers, the Daddies were defeated by the Minions. (gis)
