Long-distance trains tickets for this year’s Idul Fitri exodus will be available starting Feb. 14, state-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) announced recently.
State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will sell long-distance train tickets for homebound Idul Fitri travelers starting Friday.
“Tickets for train trips scheduled for May 14 or during the long Idul Fitri holiday will be available starting from Feb. 14 at 12 p.m.,” PT KAI president director Edi Sukmoro said in a statement on Tuesday.
He added that passengers should be careful in selecting departure dates and routes, as well as when filling in personal information upon placing orders to avoid getting the wrong ticket.

To anticipate the increasing number of customers at ticket merchants, the train operator has increased its server capacity and bandwidth.
Passengers can purchase tickets for Idul Fitri through KAI's official ticket merchants, including the KAI Access mobile app and website kai.id.
