tate-owned electricity company PLN has assured that buildings located along Jl. Panglima Polim, South Jakarta, would continue to have power after a video showing power lines exploding went viral on Monday morning.
PLN Jakarta general manager Ikhsan Asaad said in a statement released the same day that the company had been alerted about “electricity cables on fire” at around 10:17 a.m. It immediately dispatched technicians and firefighters to put out the flames and isolate power cuts. He did not confirm whether or not the cable belonged to PLN.
