The organizations hope to cultivate the growth of the Indonesian martial arts world, providing local athletes with a global event and content platform to showcase their talents and develop their careers, as well as create joint content for distribution.
ports media company ONE Championship (ONE) has announced an alliance and content partnership with Indonesian mixed martial arts promotion company OnePride MMA (OPMMA).
The organizations hope to cultivate the growth of the Indonesian martial arts world, providing local athletes with a global event and content platform to showcase their talents and develop their careers, as well as create joint content for distribution.
The organizations will invest in Indonesian athlete scouting and training efforts, and top OnePride MMA athletes will have the opportunity to compete in ONE Championship’s global events. Through these efforts, the partners will work to elevate and develop a generation of global Indonesian martial artists. Additionally, the two organizations will produce content for distribution in Indonesia.
ONE Championship group president Hua Fung Teh praised the partnership, saying it would offer Indonesia’s talented martial arts athletes the chance to develop their skills and compete on ONE Championship’s global stage.
This, he added, would define the future of the professional mixed martial arts industry in Indonesia.
“Together, the two organizations will work to elevate local heroes into global superstars.”
Ardiansyah Bakrie, founder of OnePride MMA, said the strategic alliance would elevate local MMA bouts to the next level.
“We envision OnePride MMA athletes contributing to the global stage of ONE Championship, further ensuring that more Indonesian athletes will emerge as Asian MMA icons.”
