The former Army general arrived in the US on Thursday and is scheduled to meet with his US counterpart Mark Esper and other officials at the Pentagon on Friday (local time).
His visit ends on Monday, which would still allow him time to meet with think tank figures and other interested parties.
Prior to his arrival, 12 civil society organizations raised concerns over the issuance of a visa for Prabowo, claiming that the move may have contravened the law. The groups voiced their objections in a joint letter to US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo.
