a href="https://thejakartapost.com/tag/one-championship" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ONE Championship’s parent company, Group ONE Holdings (ONE), and Media City Qatar announced their partnership on Wednesday at the Qatar Economic Forum.

Per their agreement, both organizations will make a joint long-term effort to create global content in Qatar across all media entities, including studio productions and cutting-edge broadcasting.

“This partnership is extremely strategic as it marks our foray into the Middle East, a key market for ONE across all of our content offerings: general entertainment, martial arts and esports. We are excited to bring ONE closer to all our fans in Qatar and across the Middle East. Media City has big ambitions of establishing Qatar as a global media hub and we are committed to enhancing this vision while building world-class content in Qatar to serve millions of fans around the world,” said ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

ONE is Asia's largest global sports media property, reaching over 150 countries. Nielsen ranks it as one of the top 10 sports media platforms in the world in terms of viewership and interaction.

Through its main franchises (ONE Championship and ONE Esports) and a devoted fan base, ONE promotes values such as integrity, humility, dignity, respect, courage, discipline and compassion across the globe.

“We are very excited to announce a partnership with Group ONE Holdings, which will bring a global content creator to Doha and strengthen Qatar’s media ecosystem. Media City is focusing on enabling innovative, creative media to flourish in Qatar, and this partnership will be strategic in achieving this objective. We expect that this partnership will also create a path for other global IP content creators to consider Qatar as a hub to build their presence,” said the CEO of Media City Qatar, Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

Media City Qatar and ONE are discussing the establishment of an esports center in Qatar, hoping to attract gaming developers and others by promoting the country's incredible infrastructure.

The two groups are in the middle of developing live sports programming focused on improving Qatar's production quality, with the goal of bringing elite firms to the country and fostering a talented community of innovators.

Qatar's media and creative industries are among the fastest-growing in the world, and Media City Qatar's goal is to create a powerful and innovative ecosystem where exceptional content can flourish by developing its regional media.

The organization aims to be "a collaborative home for talent, creativity, and achievement, as well as a regional leader in the media business" in order to assist Qatar in broadening its economic base.

Furthermore, Qatar will be featured in the second season of the Netflix series The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition.  The show, hosted by Sityodtong, was honored at the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards and won the Best Non-Scripted Entertainment and Best Adaptation of an Existing Format categories.
