etflix is set to premier the first season of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition to viewers in over 150 countries in the first quarter of 2022, following the highly acclaimed reality TV series’ successful run in Asia.

“The first season of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition was a smashing success. After a fantastic reception in Asia, it’s time for the rest of the world to experience the toughest and most unique version of The Apprentice in history,” said ONE Championship founder and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“On behalf of ONE Championship, I am truly honored for all the support we have received for the show, and I’m excited to premier the series to a broader audience,” he added.

Consisting of 13 episodes, the reality series’ ONE Championship Edition recently won two major awards at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) 2021 for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment and Best Adaptation of an Existing Format.

The ONE edition launched in Asia earlier this year and garnered an estimated 4 million viewers on its premier and 30 million cumulative viewers during its run, averaging 3.5 million viewers per episode.

Combining tough business and physical challenges, it was the year’s most-watched English-language reality TV series in Asia by broadcast reach. Its season premier beat the season premiers of other popular reality shows, including America’s Got Talent season 20, MasterChef Singapore season 2, The Voice season 20 and The Masked Singer season 5.

The Apprentice is one of the most famous reality TV series franchises in the world, and its ONE edition is no different. The show follows 16 handpicked candidates from around the world, including Indonesia’s Paulina Purnomowati, as they compete in a high-stakes competition. The winner receives a yearlong contract worth US$250,000 to work as the protege of the martial arts promotion’s Sityodtong in Singapore.

Special guest CEOs that appear on The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition include Grab CEO Anthony Tan, Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, Zilingo CEO Ankiti Bose, Catcha Group Cofounder and Group CEO Patrick Grove, and Everise CEO Sudhir Agarwal.

Athletes in special guest appearances include martial arts legends Georges St-Pierre and Renzo Gracie, former ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion Demetrious Johnson, Indian champion wrestler Ritu Phogat, Karate World Champion Sage Northcutt and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan.
