T

he ONE women’s atomweight champ, Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, took some time off after her long-awaited triumphant return to the Circle to celebrate her 26th birthday by going back to her mother’s homeland of South Korea.

The mom-champ from Hawaii defend her title in the star studded ONE X celebrating the promotion’s 10th anniversary back in March, where she defeated ONE atomweight world grand prix winner Stamp Fairtex.

The victory is made even more impressive as it came after the champ’s two-and-a-half-year hiatus to focus on her pregnancy and her daughter.

Celebrating 26 years of life in the motherland! πŸ₯³βœˆοΈπŸ‡°πŸ‡· Hello Korea!! μ•ˆλ…•ν•˜μ„Έμš” ν•œκ΅μž…λ‹ˆλ‹€!” the champion wrote in her recent Instagram post.

Known as the first and only atomweight mixed martial arts (MMA) champion in ONE, Lee has defended her title five consecutive times after winning the title in 2016 when she defeated Mei “V.V.” Yamaguchi in ONE: ASCENT TO POWER.

She has since tried her hand at attaining the status of double champ and challenged the ONE women’s strawweight World Champion, Xiong Jing Nan for her belt but was not successful in attaining her goal.

Despite her setback, she is still one of the most decorated champions and has brought both the promotion and the sport to new heights.

While her next outing is not yet confirmed, one potential challenger for her title might hail from the same country she’s visiting, South Korea’s Ham Seo Hee.

The veteran fighter has amassed an 8-fight win streak and sits on the number two spot after Stamp in the atomweight rankings.

Her back-to-back victories over up-and-coming Filipina talent Denice Zamboaga means she has a very strong claim for the title shot against Lee.

In the meantime, download the ONE Super App to catch all the action at ONE 159: De Ridder vs. Bigdash on Friday, July 22, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
