View all search resultsDark clouds seemed to have hit the Indonesian aviation industry throughout 2019, with high airfares and operational and financial problems preventing airlines from taking off. A glimmer of hope came from the growing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry.
The airline issued a public apology on Friday, reassuring passengers that it was fully committed to “fulfilling its obligations to all passengers as stipulated by the rules issued by the regulator, the Transportation Ministry”.
The decision to resume management partnership was made in a process that the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry facilitated, said Juliandra Nurtjahjo, the president director of Citilink Indonesia, the low-cost carrier arm of Garuda Indonesia. It resolved a recent management partnership dispute between the two airline groups.
