The Foreign Ministry has called on the Indonesian diaspora to actively take part in convincing the House of Representatives to allow dual citizenship to help overcome an impasse over the controversial plan.
Dual citizenship will once again be the focus of the upcoming Congress for Indonesian Diaspora this week, as demand for legal certainty remains strong and as President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s pushes for human capital development.
