aruda Indonesia is set to operate international flights from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Terminal 3 starting from May 1.
Transportation Minister Budi Karya said the ministry had recommended the airline to prepare for the move on April 15 and begin its operations from the Terminal 3 on May 1.
This statement confirmed state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura (AP) II Muhammad Awaluddin's statement in late March that Garuda Indonesia's international operations would move to Terminal 3 on May 1, followed by other SkyTeam members in July.

Regarding the move, Budi said the ministry would evaluate Garuda's infrastructure preparations. "There are many things to prepare for the operations, including simulations, such as on check-in, passenger boarding and baggage handling."
According to the ministry, Terminal 3's preparedness with facilities and infrastructure for operating international flights is currently at 90 percent.
Garuda Indonesia will move 26 of its international flights to the terminal. It currently operates out of Terminal 2 for international flights. (vod/kes)
