President Joko Widodo will also take part in the parade by riding a decorated vehicle.
As previously reported, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will open the Bali Arts Festival (PKB) 2017 on June 10.
On that day, the President will officiate the PKB 2017 parade in front of the Bajra Sandhi Monument—a monument honoring the struggles of Balinese people throughout history—in Denpasar.
The President will place a kayonan stick that is made to resemble a tree-shaped wayang (shadow puppet), in a fountain to symbolize this year’s theme of “Ulun Danu,” which is derived from Melestarikan Air Sumber Kehidupan (Preserving Water as the Source of Life).

President Joko Widodo will also take part in the parade by riding a decorated vehicle.
“The parade will run for two to two-and-a-half hours starting at 2 p.m. Each regency and city’s group will only have a maximum of 15 minutes to perform,” said Bali tourism board head Anak Agung Yuniartha Putra.
After the parade, the President will officiate the opening of the 39th PKB on the Ardha Chandra Open Stage, Denpasar Cultural Park at 8 p.m. (asw)
