ogyakarta State University has been appointed as the host for The 15th Asia TEFL International Conference and The 64th TEFLIN International Conference that will be held for three days beginning July 13 until 15.
The conference will include 1,500 participants hailing from 13 countries namely China, India, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The event aims to discuss the current and critical issues faced by TEFL researchers, policy makers and practitioners.

Topics that will be discussed during the conference include alternative approaches and methodologies, education/language policy, language acquisition, curriculum design, flipped classroom teaching, digital literacy, intercultural awareness in the classroom, micro teaching and MOOCs, motivation in language education, materials development and design, teacher education and development.
Speaking as a keynote speaker for the conference is research, technology and higher education minister H. Mohammad Nasir. He will be joined by other 11 researchers and lecturers from different universities.
To unwind, guests will be offered a city tour to places such as Borobudur Temple, Kraton of Yogyakarta and Prambanan Temple. (asw)
