Wonderful Indonesia tourism brand is planned to take part in the upcoming MATTA Fair Johor Bahru 2017 from August 4 to 6 at Danga Expo City Mall, Malaysia.
The tourism ministry will lure visitors by presenting types of fun activities and adventures that tourists can do in Indonesia such as sunbathing in Lombok, exploring cultural sites like Borobudur and Prambanan Temples, shopping in Jakarta and Bandung and golfing in Riau Islands.
“We'll be partnering up with 12 Malaysian agents who are in charge of direct sales. Malaysian tourists who buy tour packages from local agents will get a special prize redeemable in our gift redemption booth,” said tourism ministry's Southeast Asia tourism promotion assistant deputy Rizki Handayani.
During the three-day exhibition, the Wonderful Indonesia booth will entertain visitors with an interactive digital map, games, gift-exchange booth, coffee and refreshment corner and Indonesian traditional dance performance.
This year, the ministry is targeting to receive 1,772,000 Malaysian tourists in Indonesia, an increase from the previous year's 1,225,458 tourists. (asw)
