Following Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines will move its operations to Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport starting Wednesday.
M. Suriawan Wakan, the airport's senior general manager, stated that following the move, which aimed to reduce crowds in the airport, the airline would continue to serve its Jakarta-Hanoi and Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh routes.
Each flight will utilize the wide-body Airbus 320 NG aircraft.
“We have prepared both the services and facilities at Terminal 3. Everything has been considered carefully,” Wakan said as quoted by Antara news agency.
Terminal 3 is supported by various digital facilities such as a baggage handling system, flight information display system and a mobile app.
It is also equipped with 64 immigration counters and 32 immigration autogates.
"We also apply a common use check-in counter system, which is used by the top airports in the world,” said Wakan. (mas/kes)
