tate railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is giving away 50,000 free cups of coffee to its passengers at various stations and on trains on Tuesday and Wednesday in a bid to promote local products.

"PT KAI is participating in promoting the richness of genuine, local Indonesian coffee to be enjoyed by the entire public," KAI public relations head Agus Komarudin told kompas.com on Monday. 

The event was launched by KAI president director Edi Sukromo on Tuesday at Yogyakarta Station, Agus added. 

"PT KAI is working together with local coffee communities to distribute coffee for free on trains throughout 80 trips and at 13 major stations. The condition is that passengers or prospective passengers must show they registered for the latest KAI Access," Agus said. 

Participating stations include Gambir, Pasar Senen, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang Tawang, Tegal, Purwokerto, Tugu Yogyakarta, Solo Balapan, Surabaya Pasarturi, Surabaya Gubeng, Malang and Jember stations.

Meanwhile, the trains that are offering the coffee are Argo Bromo Anggrek, Argo Dwipangga, Argo Jati, Argo Lawu, Argo Muria, Argo Parahyangan, Argo Sindoro, Argo Wilis, Bangunkarta, Bima, Cirebon Ekspress and Ciremai.

Other trains participating in the campaign include Gajayana, Gumarang, Harina, Jayabaya, Jayakarta Premium, Lodaya, Majapahit, Malioboro Ekspress, Mutiara Selatan, Purwojaya, Sancaka, Sembrani, Senja Utama Yogya, Tatsaka, Tegal Bahari, Turangga and Wijayakusuma.

"You can request [the type of coffee], as long as there is still a supply of it," Agus said. 

Available coffees include Aceh Gayo Takengon Arabika, Karo Land Arabica, Sidikalang Arabica, Lintong Arabica, Lampung Robusta, Lampung Arabica, Luwak Sumbing Arabica, Merapi Arabica, Merapi Robusta, Empat Lawang Robusta, Pangrango Arabica, Cibeurem Robusta, Dampit Robusta, Raung Ijen Arabica, Temanggung Gesing Arabica, Bali Kintamani Arabica, Flores Bajawa Arabica, Toraja Arabica, Poso Robusta, Wamena Arabica and Bintang Mountains Arabica.
