hose who want to visit Central Java may want to include Ragam Warna (which translates to "A Variety of Colors") tourist village on their itinerary.
Located in Kendal regency, the area, previously called Mranggen, has been recently transformed into a colorful village featuring plenty of spots perfect for sharing on Instagram.
Bambang Yogi, the man behind the transformation of Ragam Warna tourist village, told kompas.com that he and the villagers were currently preparing a small park for travelers to rest in.
Bambang added that the park would be equipped with selfie spots as well, allowing travelers to snap more photos while exploring the area.
In addition to Instagram-worthy spots, Bambang shared that they would also create a gallery to display paintings made by the locals.

Meanwhile, to accommodate travelers, Bambang has prepared 13 houses for travelers to stay in; however, he plans to brief the owners on how to be a good host.
Kendal Regent Mirna Anissa shared her appreciation for those who participated in Mranggen's transformation, hoping that other areas in Kendal could follow the villagers’ creativity.
Mirna shared that nature in Kendal is beautiful and could be developed into a tourist destination.
“The local arts and foods can [be the attractions] for tourists to visit the area,” she added. (jes/kes)
