Citilink, KAI offer Idul Fitri 2018 promotions

Citilink and PT KAI are offering promotions for travelers who have not yet bought their tickets for the Idul Fitri exodus.

he annual mudik (mass exodus of people returning to their hometowns) is predicted to occur from June 9 to 20, with Idul Fitri set to fall on either June 15 or 16.

Those who have not yet secured a ticket should consider purchasing these promotions as compiled by kompas.com:

Citilink Indonesia

Low-cost carrier Citilink Indonesia is offering a Mudik Duluan (Exodus First) promotion that offers a discount of up to Rp 500,000 (US$35) with zero percent installment using CIMB Niaga credit card.

This offer is available for all destinations, including Surabaya in East Java, Palembang in South Sumatra, Manado in North Sulawesi, Padang in West Sumatra, Makassar in South Sulawesi and Medan in North Sumatra.

Tickets for senior citizens aged 65 years old and above and children aged between two to 12 years old will receive a 25 percent discount. Valid for one way as well as return tickets, passengers will be required to check-in first at the airport counter for age verification.

The booking period for this promotion will be available until May 27, while the travel period will run from May 14 to June 3.

PT KAI

State railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is also offering deals for its Kereta Wisata Priority cars, which are equipped with premium facilities, including 52-inch TVs, more comfortable seats, special crew and toilets.

Some of the routes offered in this program are Surabaya in East Java, Semarang in Central Java, Yogyakarta, Surakarta in Central Java and Malang in East Java with starting prices at Rp 500,000.

The promotion is available for booking from May 6 to 20 for travel between June 9 to 25. (wir/kes)
