Three YouTubers were swimming at the top of Shannon Falls in Canada when they “slipped and fell into a pool 30 meters below”, according to The Guardian

The vloggers, Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh and Megan Scraper, were part of High On Life, an extreme travel channel. High On Life, which has over 1 million Instagram followers and 500,000 YouTube subscribers, primarily featured videos from remote locations, like the Falls, and focused on the idea of living in the moment.

5 years ago we went on our first ever trip. We saved up 10k each and traveled to India, SE Asia and Europe for 7 months. We came home completely broke and completely different. Knowing we could never go back to the 9-5 office life we spent the next half a decade working on turning our passions for travel and making videos into a lifestyle and business. Last night we found ourselves back in Rome and recreated a picture we took back in 2012. It's a very nostalgic feeling being back here. But this time with a totally different agenda and purpose. Filming a video series that takes the roller coaster ride of the last 5 years of fun and adventures traveling to over 50 countries, as well as work, struggles, doubts and persevere and narrows it all down into a clear and concise content that will show anyone how to turn their passion for travel into a full time lifestyle and business. The biggest question we have ever gotten is "How do you get to travel the world for a living and How can I do the same?" This trip is 💯 focused on us sharing that story and information with you! So stay tuned 🙏💙 @wanderlust @parkerheuser @rykergamble @kenzokiren 📸@photosbyusher

Other members of High On Life posted a video mourning the loss, saying that the trio was “three of the warmest, kindest, most driven and outgoing people you could ever meet”.

They also recited the mission statement that Gamble and Lyakh had originally written for the collective: “Accept the fact that everything that makes up your world is there because you attracted it with your own thoughts. Realize that you can control your thoughts and emotions.”

The Vancouver Sun reported that Scraper slipped and fell into one of the lower pools, which was over 30 meters below, causing Lyakh and Gamble to try and save her, but they were then swept into the rapids below. It is unclear if they were filming at the time of their deaths. (sul/kes)
