Nam Air has opened a new route between Balikpapan in East Kalimantan and Tanjung Selor in North Kalimantan.
am Air, a subsidiary of Sriwijaya Group, has opened a new route between Balikpapan in East Kalimantan and Tanjung Selor in North Kalimantan.
The carrier began serving the new route on Thursday using ATR 72-600 aircraft that can accommodate 72 passengers.
The scheduled departure time for Nam Air flight 130 from Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan is 6 a.m. and the arrival time at Tanjung Harapan Airport in Tanjung Selor is 7:05 a.m.
Additionally, the carrier also flies from Balikpapan to Malinau, also in North Kalimantan, later in the afternoon, following the Balikpapan-Tanjung Selor flight.

The regency of Malinau is famous for its nature and outdoor tourism in destinations like the Kayan-Mentarang National Park.
"Hopefully this new service can help boost the local economy and efficiency," said North Kalimantan Governor Irianto Lambrie during a recent event to inaugurate the new services. (kes)
