The Sanchaya, a stylish upscale estate in Bintan Island, Riau Islands, is kicking off its end-of-year celebrations on Dec. 21 with gourmet events and celebrations.

Among the extravagant events to be enjoyed by guests at the beachfront property include champagne and caviar tasting, featuring Finnish Carelian Caviar that will be offered at 6 p.m. from Dec. 21 to 29.

A range of Christmas festivities are also scheduled throughout the property, which boasts colonial-inspired design features and a stately home atmosphere, complete with sweeping views of the crystal clear ocean.

Starting from Dec. 28, New Year's celebrations will roll out, featuring an Arabian theme, with chilled DJ beats setting the backdrop to an informal evening of shisha and spiced middle eastern cocktails and authentic Moroccan mint tea in the outside bar area.

The most glamorous event of The Sanchaya’s calendar will take place on Dec. 31, when the annual New Year’s Eve gathering will be held at the estate.

"The exclusive evening is set to transport guests on a culinary journey in a setting reminiscent of the most extravagant of private house parties – starting in the Decanter and Library, revelers will enjoy aperitifs alongside shaved iberico, port-infused stilton and other gourmet delights, before moving into the bar for appetizers and The Dining Room for the main course. Dessert will see a return to the bar area, where renowned DJ, Patrick Oliver, will spin an energetic set to raise the tempo," The Sanchaya said in a statement.

Easing guests into 2019 in style, The Sanchaya will host a recovery brunch on Jan. 1, complete with DIY Bloody Mary and Champagne stations.

Throughout the season, The Sanchaya’s spa will also be in the spirit, with a selection of special edition festive scrubs and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with every treatment. (kes)
