Here are some of the hottest events to end your year on a high. The list includes parties scheduled in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta, the resort island of Bali and Bintan Island in Riau Islands.
Fairmont Jakarta
Luxury hotel Fairmont Jakarta's big New Year's Eve party is titled Cirque du Fairmont, a circus-style countdown party taking place at its K22 Bar.
Located on the 22nd floor, the bar offers sweeping views of the Jakarta skyline, providing an exciting venue for a party that offers on-theme entertainment, such as a fortune teller, magician, clowns on stilts, games, live band and DJ performances and its highlight, special attractions from "The Great 50 Show" by Oriental Circus Indonesia, which is actually an ongoing event at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) running from Dec. 14 to Jan. 20.
Entry to the party is Rp 400,000 (US$27.4) per person, including a complimentary drink, popcorn and game ticket. Guests staying a minimum of two nights at the Fairmont can enjoy free access to the News Year's Eve party at K22, valid for two people per room.
The five-star hotel is also offering special year-end packages, which include VIP tickets for the Oriental Circus Indonesia performance at GBK, as well as spa treatments.
The hotel also has several restaurants to choose from for a special dinner before ringing in the New Year, including a buffet at the Spectrum and VIEW Restaurant on the 22nd floor with a menu crafted by chef Hans Christian, or a taste of re-imagined traditional Indonesian food at the 1945 Restaurant.

Mulia Hotel Senayan, Jakarta
Mulia Hotel in Senayan, South Jakarta is an opulent establishment that is slated to host what is set to be a glamorous New Year's party featuring a performance by Grammy Award winner Mya.
The US singer will perform in the Grand Ballroom, where festivities will also include a performance by World Champion Russian Circus Acrobatic Show.
For the event, the hotel is also offering special New Year's Eve Packages, with limited tickets and dining packages available. Admission to the event is strictly for those 13 years old and above.

Ayodya Resort Bali
To wrap up 2018, Ayodya Resort Bali in Nusa Dua will be celebrating with 13 days of festivities, running from Dec. 20 to Jan. 1.
The celebration, named Big Shots, will feature 13 days of parties, events and performances at the resort's Ayodya Beach Club & Grill. One of the island’s top rated five-star hotels, the resort is located just 25 minutes from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Each headline act will its own theme, including, among others, Blues Night, Punk & Soul, Merinding Disco, Reggae Night, The Beatles Night, School of Rock, Rockabilly Party and Marvel Night. On New Year’s Eve, the main event will see the Big Shots’ pinnacle New Year celebration, followed by a Chill Out Party in the New Year.
The talent lineup consists of both international and local DJs, featuring, among others, Andreas Seider, NDNR, Raysoo, Rick Simora, Adam Dado, Wisdy, Angga, Ditso and Shany Chiang, as well as live band performances from Devildice, The Hydrant, Crazy Horse, Facebeat, Soulbross, Diana Rosa and The Comrades.
Ticket prices start at Rp 200,000 per person per day, including two bottles of beer from Dec. 28 to 31.

Manarai Beach House, Bali
Manarai Beach House in Nusa Dua, Bali, is ringing in the new year with a party themed Disko Samba, featuring a 70's carnival theme reminiscent of the famous Copacabana that will treat party-goers with vibrant visuals and decors.
The playlist will include hints of Latin music, infused with some tropical and Afro beats by DJ Natty Rico, who has previously worked with artists including Major Lazer, David Guetta and Jennifer Hudson. Natty is also set to play the saxophone at the New Year's celebrations.
Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase on Ismaya's website for Rp 700,000 for the first pre-sale and Rp 800.000 on the second pre-sale. Tickets will also be available on the spot for Rp 950,000.

The Sanchaya, Bintan Island
The Sanchaya, a stylish upscale estate in Bintan Island, Riau Islands, is kicking off its end-of-year celebrations on Dec. 21 with gourmet events and celebrations.
Among the extravagant events to be enjoyed by guests at the beachfront property include champagne and caviar tasting, featuring Finnish Carelian Caviar that will be offered at 6 p.m. from Dec. 21 to 29.
A range of Christmas festivities are also scheduled throughout the property, which boasts colonial-inspired design features and a stately home atmosphere, complete with sweeping views of the crystal clear ocean.
Starting from Dec. 28, New Year's celebrations will roll out, featuring an Arabian theme, with chilled DJ beats setting the backdrop to an informal evening of shisha and spiced middle eastern cocktails and authentic Moroccan mint tea in the outside bar area.
The most glamorous event of The Sanchaya’s calendar will take place on Dec. 31, when the annual New Year’s Eve gathering will be held at the estate.
"The exclusive evening is set to transport guests on a culinary journey in a setting reminiscent of the most extravagant of private house parties – starting in the Decanter and Library, revelers will enjoy aperitifs alongside shaved iberico, port-infused stilton and other gourmet delights, before moving into the bar for appetizers and The Dining Room for the main course. Dessert will see a return to the bar area, where renowned DJ, Patrick Oliver, will spin an energetic set to raise the tempo," The Sanchaya said in a statement.
Easing guests into 2019 in style, The Sanchaya will host a recovery brunch on Jan. 1, complete with DIY Bloody Mary and Champagne stations.
Throughout the season, The Sanchaya’s spa will also be in the spirit, with a selection of special edition festive scrubs and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with every treatment. (kes)
