City-owned property developer PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol is set to recruit disabled people for its business units in 2019. Tempo.co reported that the management of the Ancol Dreamland amusement park will open up opportunities for the disabled to work in service divisions at the recreation area.
“They would be given jobs such as administration officer and kitchen or housekeeping staff at the Putri Duyung Resort Ancol,” Rika Lestari, corporate communication manager of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol told Tempo.co.
The company invited hundreds of people with disabilities to SeaWorld in Ancol on Jan. 1.
Furthermore, the recruitment of disabled workers is expected to have a positive impact on all staff and visitors of Ancol Dreamland. However, Rika hasn’t specified when exactly the recruitment would commence.
Other companies that have been inclusive of the disabled include Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), which provides special facilities for disabled customers and also gives people with disabilities the opportunity at the bank. (mut)
