St. Regis, a hotel chain known for its Bloody Mary cocktail, is set to open a hotel in Hong Kong this April. Designed by world-renowned architect André Fu, St. Regis Hong Kong will be located in the Wan Chai district, one of Hong Kong’s busiest commercial districts, near the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
André Fu created a contemporary interior design for St. Regis Hong Kong, according to press release sent to The Jakarta Post. Through his design, the architect pays homage to Hong Kong’s rich heritage and culture, drawing on personal memories of growing up in Hong Kong.
The residential St. Regis New York was also a source of design inspiration for Fu, who aimed to create a homey ambiance, with a venue built for entertainment and social gatherings.
At the hotel are restaurants from Michelin-star chefs in St. Regis Hong Kong, namely French fine dining restaurant L’Envol and Chinese fine dining restaurant Rùn.
The hotel is expected to have St. Regis' signature 24-hour butler service, in addition to an e-butler service.
Set to cater to business travelers and culture seekers alike, St. Regis Hong Kong comprises 112 rooms and 17 signature suites, some overlooking the harbor, with the rates starting from HK$4,321 (US$550). (sop/mut)
