ow-cost airline Wings Air will open a new route connecting Tanjung Pandan in Bangka-Belitung Islands and Bandung in West Java starting Aug 9.
Tanjung Pandan Wings Air airport manager Ahmad Khomaini said the route would be served four days a week.
“Flight are scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday,” he said on Thursday as quoted by Antara news agency.
Tickets for flights are available for purchase through travel agents and online ticketing sites.

For the route, Wings Air will deploy ATR 72-500/600 aircraft with a capacity of 72 passengers.
Belitung Deputy Regent Isyak Meirobe said the new route would help increase tourism in the area as well as provide easier access for Belitung residents wishing to travel to Bandung,
“Bandung residents long for the beach while Belitung's people long for the mountain. Our commodities are also different. There, they have fresh fruit and vegetables while Belitung has fresh seafood. It will offer good trade possibilities,” he said. (gis/wng)
