Lion Air's full-service Batik Air operated its maiden flight from Nanning in China to Jakarta on Sunday.
The direct service marks the carrier's third destination city in China after Guilin and Kunming.
Available two times a week, the flight is scheduled to depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport every Tuesday and Saturday at 5:55 p.m. local time and arrive at Nanning Wuxu International Airport at 11:30 p.m. local time.

Meanwhile the return flight will be served every Wednesday and Sunday, leaving Nanning at 12:30 a.m. and landing in Jakarta at 4:20 a.m., according to a statement.
The Nanning-Jakarta service utilizes an Airbus 320-200CEO that can accommodate 12 business and 144 economy class passengers. All seats come with inflight entertainment.
Batik Air caters to more than 45 domestic and international destinations, with flight frequency reaching more than 350 per day. (kes)
