reamWorks Animation studio is opening what's being billed as North America's largest indoor water park, where thrill rides based on characters like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda will bring popular kids' films to life.
Set to open March 19, the DreamWorks Water Park is set inside American Dream, a retail and entertainment complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey that has been opening in phases.
Set under a glass atrium, the water park features 40 water slides and 15 attractions based on popular DreamWorks films. There's Madagascar's Rain Forest, for instance, Shrek's Swamp and the Kung Fu Panda Zone.
The park also boasts record-setting attractions including PerfectSwell, dubbed the largest wave pool in the world at 1.5 acres, and the tallest indoor body slide at 142 feet.
Other attractions inside American Dream include Nickelodeon Universe, an indoor ski resort and an NHL regulation-size skating rink.
