The latest Indonesian Basic Health Survey (Riskesdas), conducted in 2018, revealed that smoking among adolescents, alcohol consumption and physical inactivity or a sedentary lifestyle have all been consistently increasing since 2012.
Therefore, without any serious intervention, the chilling fact is that more Indonesians will die of cardiovascular diseases in the next few years.
