pson, which dominates the global sales of laser projectors, has launched two new 3LCD laser projectors, the EB-L12000Q  and the EB- L20000U.

The EB-L12000Q is a 4K 3LCD laser projector with a resolution rate of 12,000 lumens and the lightest in its class. The EB-L20000U is Epson’s first product in the sector of WUXGA projection installation with a resolution rate of 20,000 lumens.

The EB-L12000Q, with an original 4K panel developed by Epson, features an amazing 4K resolution at 3840 by 2160 pixels for very high-quality projection. Supported by Epson laser, the strong projector is designed to expand the ranks of Epson products in the high-class rental AV sector, and is suitable for staging and renting, big auditoriums and digital signage installations. The EB-L12000Q and the EB-L20000U have light and simple designs, enabling them to be easily integrated into existing infrastructure.

The projector is a breakthrough device in terms of size and resolution. With the structure of Epson’s original laser light source and its sophisticated electrostatic filter, the projector can provide 20,000 hours of use without maintenance. The projector also has a three-layer dustproof structure with a closed optic machine, so it has a very good quality of endurance, as it reduces the air flow by up to 86 percent compared to the previous model, and significantly reduces the risks of dust and smoke exposure.

The new liquid cooling system was developed to maintain optimal temperature for the main optic elements inside the closed optic machine. The projector is also equipped with a mechanical shutter to protect the lens from any laser beam damage. It is designed to ensure maximum installation flexibility and can rotate 360 degrees in all directions without reducing or eliminating picture resolution. Its internal camera allows for long-range diagnostics and settings. The new professional Epson tool projector software makes multiprojector installation easier and enables intuitive geometric corrections such as automatic edge-blending curve correction and color adjustments. In addition, the interface can be changed for greater flexibility and futureproofing, which allows for a new interface or the renewal of the interface in the future.

The two projectors are compatible with 4K lens support, with the EB-L1000 series good for interchangeable use. The two projector models are compatible with the zero-short throw lens and the ELPLX02 ultra-short offset, with has the wider lens movements necessary for environments in which the lens’ distance to a screen is very limited. The new projector is also equipped with the Hybrid Log Gamma and HDR10.

“We’ve made new history with the EB-L12000Q, which produces a projection of original 4K and provides an outstanding quality of resolution for various kinds of our projectors. The two projectors offer various integrated functions and conveniences with features available in the rental and staging sectors with compatibility of lens and interfaces that are interchangeable, and this is a significant addition to our existing high resolution,” said Ng Ngee Khiang, the regional director of the visual products and robotics solution division at Epson Singapore.

The EB-L12000Q projector was rewarded at the 2018 Good Design Awards for its design. The EB-L12000Q and the EB-L20000U will be available for sale in Southeast Asia in the second half of 2019.

Epson, which employs 81,000 workers in 85 companies operating across the globe, is the leading global company in technology dedicated to the interconnection of people, things and information in an efficient, precise and quick manner.
