s the digital transformation impacts urban lifestyles, newly launched online platform Share Car creates a new experience in car renting.
Offering users a novel experience, Share Car is the only car rental app that lets you use a car without a key.
Booking a rental car is easy: Install the Share Car app on your Android or Apple iOS-powered smartphone. Open it and register, and upon verification you’re good to go.
Share Car vehicles are already present at offices and shopping centers in Jakarta, with cars available in even or odd number plates.
Share Car’s current locations are Kuningan City, Bakrie Tower, Menara Palma, XL Axiata Tower, Equity Tower, Sports Mall, Bella Terra Mall, Transmart Cilandak, Menara Taspen, Graha Elnusa, SOHO Pancoran and GBK Senayan.
Share Car, which began test-marketing in 2018 and has since gained positive feedback from the public, is a product developed by ASSA Mobility, a division of PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA Rent) founded with a mission to become the number one corporate mobility provider.
Entering 2020, Share Car introduced the new app version, Share Car V2.0, launched by PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk in collaboration with Quantum Inventions (QI) as an end-to-end solution to the pressing need for easy and quick access to car transportation.
The launch was overseen in Jakarta on Feb. 19 by ASSA Rent director Bapak Jany Candra and Quantum Inventions Group CEO Bapak Saurav Bhattacharyya.
“This cooperation sees the operational strength of ASSA Rent combined with the advanced technology of Quantum Inventions,” Bapak Jany says.
The latest version of the Share Car app introduces several new features, among them GPS geo-location and Bluetooth or NFC, which enable easy locking and unlocking of the car unaffected by unstable phone signals.
Quantum Inventions country director Bapak Philip Setiadi says Share Car’s advantage is merited from advanced technology application.
“The Share Car app offers distinct advantages, because the system is built by integrating hardware controls with an application-interface protocol (API), which allows a seamless experience for Share Car users, from registration and car search to driving and payment processing. All is done on the app,” he says.
Quantum Inventions, a subsidiary of Germany’s Continental AG, provides solutions for mobility intelligence, smart city transportation, OEM automotive and fleet telematics.
With promotional offers available not only on weekends but also on weekdays, users have more options as to when to rent cars for their trips.
With the launch of its new app, Share Car is looking forward to delivering mobile facilities more expansively, not only to individuals but also to corporate users for arranging out-of-town meetings.
An expansion of car rental locations is on the agenda, including to areas in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang and Bali.
“Based on positive responses and to support the location expansion, Share Car is preparing to reinforce the fleet with 200 new cars in the immediate future and with another 1,000 to follow,” Bapak Jany says.
