akarta flood aid –Members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) hand over packages of food aid to the head of the East Jakarta Social Office, Purwono (second right), on Feb. 21 at the Kampung Melayu emergency post in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
Bank Mandiri donated about 1,000 packaged meals to emergency posts in several locations in Greater Jakarta that were affected by the widespread flooding on Feb. 20, including Bangka, Cipinang Melayu, Jati Padang, Pondok Jaya, Rawa Jati and West Kuningan in South Jakarta, Ciledug and Karang Tengah in Tangerang and Pondok Melati in Bekasi.
Food stalls in the flood-hit locations helped to provide the donated meals, which also aimed to drive local economic activities.
Bank Mandiri has also been contributing to flood mitigation efforts by actively supporting the ERT in evacuating affected residents.
