United Kingdom education opens doors, wherever you go in the world. From world-recognized universities to innovative teaching approaches and the leading minds who deliver them, the UK helps students reach their potential. And a GREAT scholarship could help make students’ dreams of studying in the UK a reality.

This year, the British Council and the Study UK campaign are welcoming applications for the GREAT Scholarships and the GREAT Scholarships for justice and law. This is good news for prospective postgraduate students in Indonesia.

The GREAT Scholarships 2022, funded by the British Council through the government’s GREAT Britain campaign with participating British higher education institutions, grant a minimum of £10,000 toward tuition fees for one-year taught postgraduate courses. Applicants can choose to study a vast number of courses at nine UK universities: Keele University, Sheffield Hallam University, Swansea University, the University of Bath, the University of Derby, the University of Dundee, the University of Stirling and the University of Wolverhampton.

The GREAT Scholarships 2022 are also open to passport holders from Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam. Students already studying in the UK may also apply for the program, if their university allows it.

Meanwhile, the GREAT Scholarships for justice and law showcase the UK's long and fascinating history in the field of law and its prestigious law schools. In partnership with the Ministry of Justice, the Study UK campaign grants the scholarship to students pursuing law careers in the UK and internationally.

Indonesian students are welcome to study at three universities: Nottingham Trent University, the University of Warwick and the University of Southampton. Applicants can apply for justice and law-related courses at these universities, including human rights, criminal justice and commercial law.

Nationals from China, India, Ghana, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Thailand may also apply for this scholarship. And just like the GREAT Scholarships 2022, the GREAT Scholarships for justice and law offer a minimum of £10,000 for one year of postgraduate study.

Study UK and the selected institutions are looking for GREAT scholars who are passionate in their subject areas and who can act as ambassadors for UK education and the GREAT Scholarships, both during and after their degree. Scholars are expected to attend networking events with other GREAT scholars in addition to engaging with their university by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extracurricular activities.

The application deadlines for both scholarships vary by university. Applicants must check the requirements of their chosen institutions.

By studying in the UK with the help of a GREAT scholarship, students can become the best possible version of themselves. Find out more by visiting study-uk.britishcouncil.org/scholarships/great-scholarships.
