Ramadan at JW Marriot Hotel Jakarta

J

W Marriot Hotel Jakarta is celebrating the Holy Month of Ramadan with a slew of celebrations at its restaurants, serving local and Middle-Eastern favorites, complemented by their own hampers, and many more promotions.

First up for the foodies is the Flavorful Ramadan Feast menu at Sailendra Restaurant. Throughout the Holy Month, guests can bring family and friends to feast on the iftar buffet, highlighting much-loved Middle-Eastern and all-time Indonesian dishes.

A sneak peek at the menu is enough to send anyone over to the restaurant to try out the mouth-watering dishes; zaatar manageesh, chicken khati roll, falafel, dawood basha, chicken kebab and harira. For those who prefer something a little more local, it also offers rendang, ayam bakar minang, kentang balado and ikan bakar parape.

Don not forget to stop by for the tabbouleh fatouch, humus, babaganoush, shawarma, dates, Indonesian fritters, Arabic sweets and much more. The establishment is also offering live grill stations and free-flow drinks. Guests will certainly enjoy the classic, elegant, yet contemporary atmosphere of the award-winning restaurant.

The iftar buffet at Sailendra is available daily throughout the month of Ramadan at  weeks 1 & 4 - Rp 488,000++ per guest; & week 2 & 3 - Rp 558,000++ per guest.

While many will be comfortable coming back to the award-winning restaurant, the new pop-up restaurant Almas is for those who are eager to try something new this special month. JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta is expanding its dining scene by launching a unique concept venue, and what better time to do it than Ramadan?

“This year is indeed an exciting year for many of us, if not all. The Almas pop-up restaurant is created especially to fulfill our guests’ demand for vibrant Middle-Eastern souk-vibes, and at this time we are happy to present the Almas pop-up restaurant, which highlights popular Indonesian Ramadan dishes, where you can find various food stalls with delicious food too,” explained Abhisek Basu, the executive chef of JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta.

As the pandemic subsides, many people have come out on the other side knowing that they would rather stay home than join crowds for the celebration. For those who prefer to stay in, JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta has the demand covered, with the renowned “Iftar to You” delivery service.

Guests can still select the best local dishes ranging from nasi rembiga, nasi padang and nasi ulam bali, to nasi sailendra and nasi manado, without having to leave the house. Moreover, each box is inclusive of ta’jil and beverages, and starts from Rp 288,000 per box.

Located on the hotel’s second floor, the concept has both an indoor and outdoor venue setting, serving authentic Indonesian dishes. It is open every day from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests who come on the first and final week will get to try the new adventure at Rp 400,000 per person, while those who come on weeks two and three will have the chance at Rp 450,000 per person.

Ramadan is a time to be spent with loved ones, exchanging gifts and kind words. This season, the hotel’s exclusive “Blessed Ramadan Hampers” collection might be the best way to go about giving gifts.  The hampers are each curated with captivating presentation once opened, and filled to the brim with traditional baked goods and snacks with which one simply cannot go wrong.

The Aynur hamper starts from Rp 888,000 per hamper; features three jars of cookies, while the Bayran hampers start at Rp 1.388 million and consist of six jars. The baked goods offered vary from kaastengels, nastar, putri salju, date cookies, corn flake cookies and espresso chocolate cookies to garlic peanuts, salted cashews and mixed dried fruit and nuts.
