Stepping outside the house is a gush of festive aura coloring down the road with a harmony for togetherness.
It really is still the time of celebration.
Stepping outside the house is a gush of festive aura coloring down the road with a harmony for togetherness.
We all know this has been a long awaited one, uniquely being the first ‘normal’ Ramadan after what felt like an eternity of isolation. However, health is still an arising concern that overlaps this fresh world of renewing our social gatherings again.
Especially when a good social atmosphere comes with a good breath for quality health. We can all agree to that.
Always with the promise of their users’ well-being, LG Electronics Indonesia (LG) once again came in the nic of time to equip the community with the three-day LG Lebaran Sehat (Healthy Eid).
Held from April 26 to 28, the event was targeted at communities around three TPS (garbage disposal sites) throughout Surabaya, East Java: TPS Kembang Kuning, TPS Putat Jaya and TPS Joyoboyo.
“Still in the midst of the Eid atmosphere and with the awareness of being a part of the community” begins Lee Tae-Jin, President of Electronics Indonesia, “we want to share a little happiness with residents in need through this activity.”
The movement of giving-back and re-humanizing ourselves in a month that remembers a harmony-for-all is further emphasized by Lee, who shared how the three focused TPS had encapsulated the targets of LG’s Lebaran Sehat.
It is almost like this leading global innovator beats a human heart as the LG Lebaran Sehat movement itself is embedded under the main focus of improving public health that branches out two programs.
The first program comes with the provision of a number of food packages for the residents, consisting of food that has been carefully-threaded to ensure the richest nutrients. Becoming a justice to the title of the program itself, a nutritionist has been consulted beforehand which wraps the package with deliciousness, a hoped long-term good and a communal love to ensure they have balanced nutrition for the body.
As the distribution of balanced-nutrition food made its way to curve smiles on the residents’ faces, LG Lebaran Sehat also provides general health check-ups especially for the young ones in the crucial stages of development.
The best of both worlds emerged from this second program that collaborates with the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) around the area, as parents will subconsciously gain health education by observing the distribution of vitamins and supplements for their children when undergoing the health check-ups.
Such a thoughtful process also complements the company’s continuous advocacy for education—by already demonstrating the beneficial good for an unanimous contentment, as actions do speak louder than words.
Always in the mind of the greater good for others, the entanglement of health education activities and the demonstration to such service is aligned with LG’s long-term hope in elevating the community’s public awareness.
“Among the support given, we realize this will never be enough to meet the needs of the community. Increasing public awareness is important because the community can change their lives for the better in the future,” added Victorio Mandolang, Branch Manager of LG Electronics Indonesia for Surabaya.
Standing in Indonesia for more than 30 years as a leading manufacturer of consumer and commercial products, LG’s resilience never ceases to be the first in immersing themselves towards undiscovered paths for the sake of continuous growth and its commitment for developing various social activities touching on health, education and the environment.
This, as Lee Tae Jin said, is the very epitome that manifests the company’s transparency in supporting the government to improve the quality of life for the community, the world, us and the meaning of festive joy with an all-around good that hopefully meets no time.
