View all search resultsrt Jakarta is set to return for its 2026 edition from Oct. 2–4 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, following the success of Art Jakarta Gardens and Art Jakarta Papers that were held earlier this year.
Widely known and the premier Indonesian art fair, it continues to expand its role in connecting Indonesia’s art ecosystem with the wider Southeast Asian art scene. This year, the fair will welcome 75 galleries, with more than half being Indonesian galleries and 33 international galleries, including 19 galleries participating in the fair for the first time, reflecting the continued growth and excitement surrounding each edition of Art Jakarta.
The fair offers audiences an opportunity to discover contemporary art, emerging artists, creative collaborations and different art communities from across the region.
“Art Jakarta must continue to serve as a space where visual arts stakeholders in the region can meet, exchange information and knowledge, build networks, and collaborate. This is Art Jakarta’s primary role, with the international art fair taking place in early October at JIExpo Kemayoran.
Our hope is that, by continuing to fulfil this role and function effectively, the art market ecosystem in Indonesia and across the region will likewise remain dynamic and continue to grow.” as Enin Supriyanto, Artistic Director for Art Jakarta remarks.
In addition to the fair’s acclaimed sections, this year offers visitors a first look at MTN Market by SCOPE, supported by National Talent Management for Arts and Culture (MTN Seni Budaya), developed by the Culture Ministry.
The new programme brings selected emerging art fairs from across Indonesia to Jakarta, selected through an open call process. Mini Art Malang (Malang), Artists Art Fair (Pekanbaru), ART HEY (Banyumas), Maa Ledungga (Gorontalo), Hello Goodbye Photo Market (Bekasi) and Watercolor Art Fair (Yogyakarta) are the programmes and local art communities that will be present in this special section.
The fair this year will receive support from its Lead Partners: Julius Baer, Bibit and Stockbit, Treasury, and BCA, all of them are returning partners, each contributing to the fair’s excitement and vibrancy through a series of Special Presentations.
This will also serve as the first event for Art Jakarta to debut its new Main Partners, one of which is AIA. Through The Living Legacy, AIA will present its collaboration with the batik maestro Iwan Tirta.
Other exhibitions from partners include EDISII, which previously supported Art Jakarta Papers, which will present a selection of art prints by Ugo Untoro, Sunaryo, Agus Suwage and more. Aesop will also be present with Aesop Women’s Library. The Solitaire, world-class aesthetic surgery centre, is also partnering with the fair for the first time.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting from Sept. 17, exclusively at artjakarta.com.
