Perum Damri is conducting a trial run of a bus service connecting Halim high-speed railway station and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
tate-owned land transportation company Perum Damri is conducting a trial run on a route connecting Halim high-speed rail (HSR) station in East Jakarta and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng, Tangerang, Banten, in support of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR.
Damri commercial and business development director Dadan Rudiansyah said on Thursday that the Jabodetabek Airport Connection (JA Connexion) service aimed to streamline the travel experience for passengers departing from both transportation nodes.
The Damri bus service operates from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the airport while departures from Halim HSR station are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Damri is offering a 50-percent discount on fares during the trial period from Rp 80,000 (US$5.19) to Rp 40,000.
Passengers can buy the JA Connexion tickets on the spot or through the Damri app.
Dadan said that Damri's JA Connexion service was the result of collaboration between Damri, HSR operator PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) and the Transportation Ministry’s Greater Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ).
"This service is an effort to enhance connectivity and provide safe and comfortable transportation services for public transportation enthusiasts,” Dadan said during a flag-off ceremony to start the trial service, which runs until Thursday.
