arking its introduction to the Indonesian market, VinFast Auto proudly announces its inaugural range of new right-hand drive electric vehicles (EVs) at the Indonesian International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024.

Hailing from Vietnam, VinFast is a member of VinGroup, the country’s largest private corporation, and was founded in 2017. Since then the automotive company has quickly risen through the ranks, becoming the leading car seller in its competing segments within 21 months of its launch in Vietnam.

Aside from that, VinFast has aggressively expanded globally since 2022, opening showrooms and car-manufacturing facilities in countries such as Germany and the United States. Additionally, the company is committed to democratizing electric transportation for all, manufacturing electric buses for public use and electric scooters with a much more accessible entry price.

Now VinFast has its sights set on Indonesia, where it will introduce its first ever lineup of right-hand drive EVs, showcasing the company’s advanced manufacturing and steadfast commitment in developing EVs to promote green transportation across all markets.

At IIMS 2024, VinFast has unveiled a diverse array of EV models which includes the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9. This range is designed to cover a varied range of vehicles from A-SUV to E-SUV and represents segments A to C. Under the overarching theme of "Living Unbound," VinFast aims to offer a broader spectrum of sustainable transportation solutions while inspiring Indonesian consumers to envision the boundless possibilities of a modern and eco-conscious transportation landscape.

Driven by a steadfast commitment to sustainable transportation, VinFast reaffirms its previous announcement to establish a local EV manufacturing plant in Indonesia, which will boast an anticipated capacity of 50,000 cars per year. This planned facility is expected to generate thousands of employment opportunities and foster the growth of a robust domestic EV industry. Once operational, the plant will serve as a pivotal component in VinFast's global EV supply chain.

It is also worth noting that on the opening day of IIMS 2024, VinFast’s booth was visited by President, Joko Widodo, who left his mark by autographing the VinFast VF 5 displayed in the company's pavilion.

This official launch in the Indonesian market marks a significant milestone in VinFast's global expansion journey, highlighting its commitment to promoting sustainable transportation on both local and global scales.
